About Us

Event Automation Services, Inc. has been developing, selling and supporting event management software since 1990. Original systems, called EASIway Systems, found fans from Coast-to-Coast and led us into a three-year development and test program of WinEasi™. Using the most advanced and user friendly features of Windows 95/98/ME/XP/2000, WinEasi™ has been well received since its first delivery in 1999. The software is now on version 4.0, and has been expanded into complete product lines focused on the individual needs of caterers, banquet halls, country clubs, golf clubs, and hotels.

WinEasi™ Products include a free, 30 day trial license, and a 90 day no-cost support and warrantee package. Support provided includes both systemic and setup/use discussions and advise. Updates and/or service packs are made accessible via CD and Internet downloads.

Officers and Founders

E L Smith, Founder of Event Automation Services, Inc. has over 35 years of high tech development, marketing and management experience. His background includes management positions in Univac, Control Data, and American Express Company, Computer Communications, Inc. and Logicon, Inc. The latter two were start-up and IPO companies. Mr. Smith also founded and managed two of his own companies, ATM Network Management Corp. and Retail EFT, Inc. to local and national success and ultimate purchase by larger companies.

Mr. Smith’s interest in the food services industry developed while programming client based applications. One client brought his attention to the void of truly useful tools for management control and marketing support in the special events segment of the food industry. Since forming EASI, he has consulted and worked with thousands of caterers and banquet hall managers across the US and personally involved himself in the development of the current WinEASI Banquet, Catering and Hotel Special Event Systems.

As of September 2003, Mr Smith has chosen to retire from the day to day business of WinEASI.

Janene M. Smith, President, has over ten years experiance working with retail and food service management, back office applications and business growth modeling. She has worked very closely with our clients in order to further develop the functionality and flexibility of the WinEASI System.

James R. Croci, Technology Director, has been developing and supporting Information Systems for fifteen years. A specialist in large-scale corporate systems, Mr Croci introduces an alternative perspective into future system development and implementation.
